Each enchantment adds additional Stats to the item depending on its level. Armor can also be Enchanted, either by finding it enchanted as random treasure, through enchanting it at the Alchemist or through applying an Enchantment Scroll. You cannot wear or upgrade armor beyond your current level, and upgrading an armor piece will increase its stats.
